Pateria :
|
Main temple at Pateria is a very beautiful, full of art & miracles with
principal deity
Lord Parsvanath. This temple is more than 200 Years old made according to
totally Indian Architecture. This was build, by Seth Radha Kishanjun Shah by the
earnings of one day in the business of Cotton in V.S. 1839. Installation
ceremony of this temple was organized under the graceful patronage of Garha
Kotas that time ruller Shri Harisinghjudeo Bundela that was motivate by the
precept of Bhattarak Mahendrakeertiji.
It is said that in that function, Ghee became short for food, than by the order
of Bhattarakji, the water of nearby pond was used in place of Ghee. This pond is
known as Atishaya Kund. It is said that prayers & worship on first Sunday of
every month is helpful for fulfillment of various desires of pilgrims.
A miraculous pillar is also here that removes the various types of Malaria. This
wonderful pillar was powered by the spells by Bhattarak Mahendrakeertiji.

| Main Temple & Idol :

The principal deity of Pateria
is Lord Parsvanath (The 23rd Teerthankar). This idol is 7 feet in height in
cross legged seating posture (Padmasana) build in Black Stone with three
serpent hoods.
Main temple is very attractive, its spire is 90 feet high surrounded by a
thick wall. |

feet high spire. It consist 63 idols, among them one idol of Lord Parsvanath
having 1000 serpent hoods is very beautiful. Principal deity is Lord Parsvanath.
Shri Dig. Jain Chhatpuria Mandir This temple also has the Principal deity Lord
Parsvanath installed in V.S. 1877 decorated with many historical & ethical
photos and with a spire of 60 feet in height.
Shri Sarrafa Dig. Jain Mandir - Principal deity Lord Suparsvanath installed in
V.S. 1891.
Shri Dig. Jain Mandir on Sagar road at the opposite side of river.
Shri Najayai Dig. Jain Mandir (In Grain Mandi), principal deity Lord Parsvanath
installed in V.S. 1890.
